"Tough Shot, No Sweat."
- Sergei
Sergei Starosielski, owner of Studio Sergei Advertising Photography,
is a leading commercial photographer and expert Photoshop artist known
for his attention to detail and problem solving abilities. He has honed
his craft since 1981 by creating visual solutions for hundreds of businesses
in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
Sergei has the experience and creative
ability to manage and direct a wide range of photographic assignments.
His projects have included product photography, from candy to cars, intricate
sets with multiple elements, catalogs spanning weeks and large scale location
assignments. Sergei has directed dozens of models, art directors and assistants
on a "lifestyle" shoot, built sets for "in-use" shots of tools and coordinated
props, styling and lighting to create an appetizing food image. In the
studio or on location, his clients count on him to be innovative and get
their job done right.
Sergei's images have been featured in
the advertising and packaging of diverse clients such as Hasbro, ConAgra
Foods, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Smith & Wesson,
Merriam Webster, Lenox Tools and the US Postal Service. His body of work
has ranged from developing a brand lighting for Kmart exercise equipment
to photographing artifacts for the award winning book "Columbia Before
Columbus" authored by Armand J. Labbe and published by Rizzoli.
When Sergei is not creating images in his studio he is active in promoting
FIRST Robotics programs at local high schools. An expedition with Jean
Michel Cousteau led Sergei to a passion with scuba diving, a sport he
still enjoys.
